 About the Catering Coordinator Position:

The Catering Coordinator for McAlister’s Deli must be confident in catering execution, networking, guest retention, and comfortable developing others. The Catering Coordinator must be experienced in all aspects of catering, from an operational and sales perspective. Catering Coordinators must be able to maintain companywide catering systems, as well as have strong organizational and time management abilities. The Catering Coordinator will work closely with their MMC and deli management to maintain excellent guest satisfaction with the current catering client base, while simultaneously striving to obtain new business and assist in building strong community relations.

General Expectations and Responsibilities:
  • Present a clean, polite, outgoing, and friendly image to all guests, associates, and potential clients.
  • Contribute daily to a positive work environment that fosters a winning team approach and promotes personal growth.
  • Knowing and understanding one’s operational capabilities.
  • Serves as a ‘Brand Ambassador’ both inside and outside of the 4-walls of the restaurant.
  • Generates new customers while retaining current customer relationships.
  • Grow catering sales through internal/external marketing plans.
  • Meeting or exceeding solicitation goals and revenue goals each month.
  • Interacting with outside planners/vendors for special events, working within clients’ budgets to present the best options.
  • Manage all aspects of catering and hold all employees accountable to the highest quality of service standards.
  • Reports directly to the General Manager with guidance from MMC for all catering orders and marketing.
  • Associate seeks out new assignments and assumes additional duties when necessary.
  • Stays current on The Hub in regards to catering updates, LTOs, specs, and spec/process changes
  • Identifies areas that would improve the operation and generates suggestions.
  • Available Monday-Friday: 9-3 pm (ability to work flexible hours, early mornings for breakfast catering or weekends/evenings for events).
  • Well organized and punctual.
  • Can be relied upon regarding task completion and follow-up.
  • Has a reliable form of personal transportation, valid insurance, and the ability to pass a background check.
  • Ability to work standing for extended periods.
